This research center is the first domestic organization established for the purpose of research on disability arts, aiming to develop policies based on the needs of disabled artists.
In May 2023, after receiving certification as a women-owned and disability-owned business, it published the 4 volumes of the DARC Research Report, available for sale in online bookstores
as a specialized publication rather than a mere compilation of data.

Starting with the publication of the in 2010, the center has conducted a lot of research achievements in order to expand and specialize the research projects of the Korea Disabled Artist Association. Research conducted by the center itself includes with Disabilities>, Artworks by Artists with Disabilities>, with Disabilities>, and Disabilities>.

The research center plans to develop the policies to implement the 「Act on the Support for Cultural and Artistic Activities of Artists with Disabilities」 enacted in 2020, and the operational method and evaluation index in line with the Disabilities> (2022-2026).
