Choi Ye-na

Born weighing just 1.68 kg and developing visual impairment in the incubator, she has never seen the light of the world. However, she shines brighter than anyone in the world of pansori.
From a young age, she developed her own sense of pitch and demonstrated exceptional skills not only in piano performance but also in pansori. Recognizing her talent, her school teachers guided her towards becoming a traditional vocalist.
Her innate talent, combined with years of dedicated practice, won major award and earned her significant recognition in various pansori competitions. 
After graduating from a special education high school, she was admitted to the School of Korean Traditional Arts at the Korea National University of Arts in 2023. Currently, she pursues diverse curricula at the university and continues to refine her skills through daily practice, striving to reach the highest level of pansori mastery.
