Im Ji-yoon

She is the youngest in a typical family with her parents, two older brothers, and an older sister. Born with a condition characterized by short stature, short arms, wrists bent at a 90-degree angle, and missing thumbs, she grew up under the care of her family. After graduating from high school, she was admitted to the School of Drama at the Korea National University of Arts in 2013.
Coming from Daegu, she moved to Seoul alone for her studies. One day, when she visited home, her father revealed that they had adopted an eight-month-old girl named Ji-yoon. Over the years, he had felt it was important to share the roots of their child.
Her Catholic mother had first met Ji-yoon while volunteering at a care facility for abandoned disabled children. Ji-yoon's difficult health conditions and disabilities had left a strong impression, leading her mother to decide to adopt. Although she initially experienced some confusion about her own identity, she ultimately embraced her situation with gratitude and became even more dedicated to her acting.
Since her university days, she has performed in about 44 plays and continues to grow as a true actor.
