The Korean Association for Disabled Artists(KADA) launched 『E美지』, the first magazine dedicated to Artists with Disabilities in Korea, in 2016 to promote the popularization of Arts of the Disabled. As of the Winter 2024 issue, the magazine has reached its 34th edition.

The English word "image" refers to a mental representation that shapes perceptions.

Prejudice against disabled individuals often arises from the uncomfortable images associated with disability.

Thus,『E美지』 was named with the intention of serving as a powerful tool for improving awareness of disability.

The title, 『E美지』, combines Korean, English, and Chinese characters:

Stories of Artists with Disabilities featured in 『E美지』 are also translated into English and continuously uploaded to the Arts of the Disabled platform (www.onemiji.com) under the "Image Room" section which makes the stories accessible to audiences worldwide.
